Episode 21

Nurturing Resentment Does No Good

RESENTMENT

In a moment of hurt and anguish, it seems justified to blame someone else for all the wrongs. We turn our tender hearts and strong minds into a nest for harbouring hatred and anger. It does us no good rather lead us to an eventual doom. Resentment is a siren song. It gives us a false sense of power but in reality it’s a mere defence mechanism.

Tune in to today’s episode as we take a deeper look at this problem and strive to uproot it from our lives.

    Respected Mam,
Greetings of the day/ Koti Koti Naman.

Today’s podcast made me speechless! Your views are trying to probe the deeper recesses of human mind and are highlighting how we as a human being have everything within us; the negativity – all the shades, some of which, when exhibited, make us feel ashamed.

Resentment is a cancer, for sure, that spreads within, taking its toll on us.

Your podcast messages are doing one major thing- they are breaking the stereotypes! Currently, we have the image how an obstinate person who stands on his words and vows never to speak to anyone on the pretext of his/ her false image/ ego should not be held as role model or shouldn’t be a person to emulate; rather, it is the person who forgives and achieves some higher sense of purpose is the one who should be revered.

All the episodes right from clutter, to ego, to karma, to energy, forgiveness, – they are all pathbreaking. Personally, whenever I face adversity, your gruff voice and words come to mind…that how we have ‘amarimit urja’ and how we can tap it to make the most of something and convert impossible to possible. It seems some invisible force comes to strengthen me in those instances.

Thanks for these eye-opening messages/ episodes, which are equally enthralling and motivating.

PS: your urdu shayari was missed in this episode!!!

    Regards

    Wah shah ji. Explained in a very matured n practical way. Yes sometimes we become stubborn and think sometimes it damages realationship irreversibly. The best way to ignore such situation is ‘छढो जी ‘। Thank you dear for another beautiful n important topic Looking for the next one

Bilkul satik can’t mam. Resentment is truly a virus always adversely affecting our personality. No doubt, it affects our physical well being also. Although forgetting unpleasant experience due to any reason whatsoever but making conscious efforts to forget and forgive is the only solution to get inner peace and happiness. Warm regards mam.

  14. Devinder Kaur says:

    Truly said nurturing resentment is no good.Resentment is nasty.What makes it so ugly is that it has tendency to turn on otherwise kind and reasonable person into someone who is so angry at their own life situation that is nearly impossible to recover.Bitterness and resentment make it hard even for the people who love you to be around you.

But without forgiveness life is governed by an endless cycle of resentmet and retaliation.
इस में आपने न सिर्फ़ resentment से निकलने का बल्कि ज़िंदगी को सही ढंग से जीने का *मंत्र* दे दिया है -Being into the awareness of Gratitude, Forgiveness,Acceptance,Compassion and Service.
    Let’s follow this *Elemination diet*:

*Remove anger, regret, resentment, guilt, blame and worry. Then watch your health and life improve*.

    God bless you🙏❤️🙏

    1. Sumedha says:

Thanks Devinderji, you yourself are an evolved soul. Admiration from you bespeaks your generosity. Thanks. Regards

  15. Kavita says:

Truly, forgive and forget is the best policy. We should erase sad/bad memories of the past and live in the present.
    Very well explained Sumedha ji.

  16. Dr.R.Rishi says:

Acceptance and positivity are really true tools to overcome the resentment……. Rather it is the way to live life lively…
