Episode 13

Are we Clutter conscious?

CLUTTER

What transpires when we overly associate feelings, memories with goods and hold them dear to us? We fill up emotional, mental and physical space in our mind and house with the unnecessary. Stuffing one’s abode with materialistic possessions leads to turmoil and losing the sense of actual control and order in our lives.

Should abundance  be allowed to go beyond physical form, creating chaotic energies?

What a subject! Never thought of it. Clutter really disturbs. The lecture turned out to be a sort of material management. More focus needed towards our mental clutter.

Thank you shah ji for a very important topic – clutter. yes we have to organise all kinds of clutters . You are so right people call you crazy when start clearing too much but it’s very important that things which are not being used should be given. As you mentioned that in today’s life there are so many packaging we have to throw. Thank you for the Three ‘R’ formula. So well explained by each step. looking forward for the next one.

Very pertinent and relatable topic! After all ‘home is where we have to gather grace’. A cluttered home, undoubtedly, loses grace. Thought provoking observations and wonderful exposition of a not so often talked about but very necessary and useful topic. Embedded poetic examples are a real delight as always.

  13. Devinder kaur says:

Most of us who are weighed down by mental clutter-the to-do lists, the calendar events catalogued in our brains find a shocking amount of relief- when we cut back on our *physical clutter*.If your environment is less chaotic, your mind will be too.
Clutter is nothing more than postponed decisions.

What I know for sure is when you declutter- whether it’s your home, your heart or your head -it’s astounding what will flow into that space that will enrich you, your life and your family.

Thank you very much for explaining such a different and important topic in your powerful way.God bless you.He has sent you with a purpose. Keep guiding us 🙏❤️🙏

  16. Dinesh Kumar says:

I feel that an important reason for our inability to keep our physical and mental space free from clutter is our failure to discriminate between our needs and greeds. Many of us have realized during our recent experience of staying at home that our necessities are indeed very few. Your podcast is a reinforcement of that realization. You have covered various aspects of the issue of depletion of energy because of clutter. Your words of advice embody a gentle reminder of, as well as a convincing and cogent presentation about, the need to declutter.

    1. Madhu Bala says:

You have touched upon a very important topic which is concerned with all of us. Most of us know that decluttering our house gives a big relief to our minds but it is a mammoth project which we keep on postponing. However for the flow of positive energy and that feeling of sukoon we should keep trying to get rid of some of the trash on a regular basis. Thanks for inspiring.

  20. Anita kharub says:

Absolutely correct mam. Clean and organised surroundings are highly important to feel good.
Even if kept organised, clutter is not of much use. You are right that the problem is of abundance. But I will definitely adopt your formula of discarding one item daily. I strongly feel that this will help in clearing unseen clutter from our thoughts , mind and life , thereby making it more meaningful and happier. Warm regards mam.

    1. Sumedha says:

In the process am also learning..

  21. Maninder kaur says:

V.gud topic taken up which effects everybody’s daily life.I so agree with you. Organising & decluttering should be a habit.we should not procrastinate but be proactive & develop this habit to declutter on a regular basis be it our mind or materialistic things.we must be able to detach & free r mind of living spaces of unwanted thoughts & unwanted clutter so as to maintain both d sanity & sanctity of r mind & r living spaces respectively. It’s always gud to hear from you.Marvel ur knowledge & ur expression as well.Thanx for always motivating us.waiting for d next episode eagerly.

This is really an important topic to ponder over. Clutter physical and mental, both are disturbing and brings down our moods and subsequent efficiency of doing things. Clutter definitely decreases our focus. We fully agree with you that we must avoid all kind of clutter. And excessiveness of materialistic things is bad too. With your effort of educating us all about practical aspects of life, we are able to hear from Nida Fazli. Gulzaar, Kabir and so many great people and Gurus. “Samaan So baras ka aur pal ki khabar nahin” is so true.

    Thanks & regards

  27. Respected Mam, I peacefully listen your beautiful lecture touching tobheart about every family i.e clutter. In other mean we can say Good House Keeping either it is house or office, we obviously need of this. But mambi would like to mention that if are human being and always remains to intouch with our ancestor old memories who either was used by our ancestors etc….. Mam we took the example of cooking of chapati on Tandoor by our grandma’s. … How can we throw out as it is belongings to them. Why do kept all that things just our new generation would put the question about our old time, thus we could show , how did we and our ancestor spent. Now we could think over when India Pak was one big country and before partition we have the curiosity to know about their old belonging s. This is true that useless things should not be kept. But here in my opinion I would say of we make our house keeping handy and easy we might have not quarrel with our own tools. Hope your kind remarks /critic on my prescription would not only boost up me, but able to everyone to follow a good house kerping metho. Deepest regards
