Episode 60:  Eat Right, With Delight

Diet Do you find yourself craving something to nibble on when you’re under stress? Does food give you immense joy and your required dose of dopamine? We all enjoy foods of different types and associate certain memories to them. What distorts the balance is when food becomes our resort of respite, when we start eating our emotions away.

Eventually, this toxic cycle of unhealthy eating makes us fall prey to fad diets, where our favourite food triggers a spiral of negative feelings and makes us miserable. Come join me in today’s episode as we talk about our favourite food, work on having a more positive outlook towards it and foster a healthy relationship between our emotions and food.

    Off late , parents of most infants are constantly stressed that their child is not eating. As a result they try many experiments, the worst being allowing their kid to watch mobile while eating. Our parents never made such a fuss if we didn’t eat. We were left alone till our stomachs grumbled and we came back to quitely gobble whatever was served. Somehow that discipline has vanished replacing it with the anguish of these diets…Hope your talk facilitates the sense of right eating to all…Think right and eat right….

    Just for a laugh- my definition for those who torture themselves by dieting;
    जो रिश्ट् पुष्ठ इन्सान अपनी काया को स्पष्ट तरीक़े से नश्ट कर ने के लिए कश्ट देता है वह दुष्ट और पपिष्ठो में इश्ट है! ( please excuse the incorrect typing of some words!)
    I have always believed in eating everything but never too much – and walking regularly for 45 minutes daily. It has worked so far!!!! Warm regards- Vasundhara.
